Job Description

About the Role

SIRIS is seeking a Construction Manager (Electrical) to support a VA Medical Center project in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This role supports complex federal healthcare construction projects with a focus on electrical systems, infrastructure, and design integration, where technical quality, cost control, schedule performance, and compliance are critical. You will serve in an Owner's Representative capacity, working closely with the Program Manager, VA client staff, and project stakeholders from design through construction and closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as Owner's Representative supporting projects from design through construction and closeout
  2. Oversee project execution with responsibility for technical quality, cost, and schedule performance
  3. Analyze and monitor project financial data, budget performance, and cost trends
  4. Review construction schedules and support progress and performance evaluations
  5. Participate in progress meetings and assist with issue identification and resolution
  6. Review testing, inspection, and quality assurance documentation for compliance
  7. Support claims administration, change management, and contract modifications
  8. Review contractor documentation and reported progress for alignment with construction documents and approved schedules
  9. Prepare analytical reports, correspondence, and program status updates
  10. Maintain tracking tools and reporting systems supporting program oversight
  11. Act as liaison between client stakeholders, design teams, contractors, and facility engineering staff

Work Environment:

Full-time onsite role at an active construction site and healthcare facility. Work performed within an active healthcare environment requiring coordination with facility operations.

Requirements
  1. 6+ years of experience in construction management, construction administration, or a related field
  2. Experience supporting facility construction, infrastructure, or healthcare projects
  3. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical specifications
  4. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost management, and project delivery
  5. OSHA 30 certification required and must be maintained throughout employment
  6. Experience supporting complex construction projects in healthcare, federal, or institutional environments
  7. Strong background in electrical systems, infrastructure, or engineering design preferred
  8. Comfortable managing cost, schedule, and compliance across multidisciplinary teams
  9. Able to operate independently while collaborating with program leadership, clients, and contractors
  10. Strong organizational and analytical mindset
  11. Effective communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  12. Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and compliance
  13. Demonstrates accountability, leadership, and sound judgment
  14. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience)
  15. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
  16. Experience supporting federal or VA construction projects (VA, DoD, GSA, etc.) preferred
  17. Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, or equivalent preferred
  18. Experience with design-build and design-bid-build delivery methods preferred
  19. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  20. Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
  21. Ability to exercise independent judgment in administrative, financial, and compliance matters
  22. Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment
  23. Must adhere to all site safety, security, and confidentiality policies
